Driving your car, driving your life…

One day after office hour, at 8.00 pm, on my way back home, while driving my car along a very busy Jakarta street, my mind wandering…

It’s been such a busy day in my office…  So many stressful things happened….  I am so tired, physically and emotionally…

I drive my car, slowly and carefully, accompanied by slow music from the radio…

Suddenly something struck my mind…  Well actually, driving your life is just like driving your car.  You can not push your car forward as fast as you can, if in front of you there’s other car that blocking your way and you don’t have enough room to move forward…  It’s also impossible to take the side lanes, as the traffic are busy as well.  There’s nothing else you can do but to be patient, and move slowly following the front car, until the traffic is loosen.  If the left or right traffic lane looks better, you have an option to change your lane, with a certain risk.

Just like your life…  Even if you want to move forward as fast as you can, but if there’s an obstacle that make it impossible for you to get through, all you have to do is to be patient, and start to think of the other options to release yourself from the obstruction…

Whatever decision you make, you certainly need a clear mind, being too emotional is unnecessary and even could harm yourself.

During the process, don’t forget to pray, asking Him to show you the right way….
